About

My Personal Origin Story

Hi, I'm Casey Sabella

I was born into an Italian-Irish Catholic family of 5 boys and 1 girl growing into a teenager during the turbulent 1960s. During the time I dabbled in the occult and Kung-Fu Karate, my elder brother became a born-again Christian. Through his testimony and example, I surrendered my life to Christ at 17 years old.

One year later, God called me into full-time ministry. After completing a seven-year work-study and apprenticeship program, I was ordained in August of 1981. From that time to this, I have been privileged to serve the body of Christ as a teacher, church planter, author, and catalytic leader. My wife Pat and I are parents to four children and eleven grandchildren. This year we celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary. Our children and their spouses all serve the Lord in ministry by the grace of God.

I Began This Podcast Journey in 2015 to Help Fellow Pastors and Leaders

The statistics are staggering. Thousands of pastors leave the ministry each year. Why? The three top reasons: Loneliness/depression, family issues, and financial difficulties. The resources to help church leaders face the challenges of day-to-day church work are few and far between. This podcast was created to address this need.  These are just some of my most recent podcasts:

  • How do you handle personal betrayal?
  • Why do so many pastors suffer from depression?
  • Is it true that over 1,000 pastors leave the ministry each month?
  • How do pastors raise normal children in a church environment?
  • Should pastors work a secular job?
  • How to realign your vision.

Each podcast is specially designed to encourage and strengthen your calling from God.
